VTB has already issued the loans for projects in the Arctic zone for 400 billion rubles and plans to double the funding of projects in the Arctic in 2020-2021. This was announced by the newspaper TASS on the margins of the Forum “Russia calling” by VTB Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board Valery Lukyanenko.
“For today, VTB has issued loans worth 400 billion rubles for various projects in the Arctic zone and provided about 100 billion rubles in guarantees. In 2020-2021, VTB plans to increase the volume of its investments in Arctic projects by approximately two times,” he said.
Earlier, VTB Bank and the government of Chukotka signed a cooperation agreement at the forum. As the head of the bank Andrey Kostin noted, Chukotka is the first region of the Arctic zone, with which VTB signs a cooperation agreement within the framework of its new strategy of regional expansion.
